Event Health Services
Victorian Medical Assistance Team is able to provide Event Organisers with a guaranteed, unparalleled alternative to the traditional volunteer based first aid services model. Depending on your needs, we are able to provide your event with Doctors, Nurses and Advanced Responders, with each event being staffed by a minimum of one health care professional.
Bringing qualified health care professionals to the event environment provides a higher level of patient assessment, management and overall care. VMAT is experienced in providing event health services to a wide range of events including but not limited to school carnivals, sporting events, concerts as well as high risk motorsport based events. We are able to work in partnership with you to tailor a complete solution package that will meet the specific requirements of your next event.
Tier One
This is our base level of service. This level provides your event with one Health Care Professional (Nurse) and one Advanced Responder. It also includes the supply of one of our stretcher capable vehicles. This can either be a 4WD or non-4WD vehicle depending on the terrain.

Tier Two
This is our premium level of service. This service includes the use of a Registered Medical Practitioner who has experience in delivering emergency medicine and critical care to the community. Additionally, the event will also be staffed by a Health Care Professional (Nurse) who has experience in the critical care environment.
Having a Doctor at your event means an unparalleled experience and a level of knowledge normally only found in the hospital setting. A Doctor is able to provide in-depth clinical knowledge, emergency triage, thorough patient assessment and advanced clinical care and management. Our Doctors also bring with them an array of medications that they are able to utilise if so required. Doctors whom are onsite and have physically assessed a patient are able to determine the most suitable method of transport for patients.

Our rugged, reliable and advanced Philips HeartStart MRx Monitor/Defibrillator is able to provide continuous ECG monitoring, blood pressure measurement, oxygen saturation levels and cardiac defibrillation.
KED
The K.E.D. is a semi-rigid brace that secures the head, neck and torso in an anatomically neutral position. This position reduces the possibility of additional injuries to these regions during extrication. This device is utilised for maintaining spinal alignment whilst extricating a person from a motor vehicle.
Medication
Depending on the patients condition, VMAT is able to administer a wide range of medications.
VACMAT
A vacuum mattress, or Vacmat, is a medical device used for the immobilisation of patients, It consists of a sealed polymer bag (larger than an adult human body) that encloses small polystyrene balls, with a valve, straps and handles. It is washable and X-ray compatible.

Radio Network
VMAT utilise a state-of-the-art, modern radio network system. Our private frequency runs on a Tier II DMR VHF network allowing the greatest of quality and range.
This clear communication structure ensures that our command staff are able to coordinate and dispatch the closest crew available to the scene that requires our assistance.
