Victorian Medical Assistance Team employs a range of professional clinical staff, including Doctors, Nurses and Advanced Responders. Together with the latest specialist emergency and pre-hospital medical equipment, we are able to deliver the highest level of care in a quick, reliable and safe manner at all times. 

STAFF

 

Command Staff (for large or complex events)

Command Staff are experienced in command, control and coordination principles. Event Commanders have experience in managing a multitude of services at a number of events across the state. Command Staff are multi-disciplined and can perform various roles. Command Staff are well suited to environments where a multi-level participation from organisations is required.

 

Team Leader

A Team Leader is a member of staff who has had years of experience in providing event health services and emergency pre-hospital care to the community. They are a qualified health care professional who is able to manage all facets of our service delivery.

 

Doctor

A Doctor is a Medical Practitioner who has successfully completed a Bachelor Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, holds a current Certificate of Registration issued by the Medical Board of Australia and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

 

Nurse

A Nurse is someone who holds a current Certificate of Registration issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

 

Advanced Responder

An Advanced Responder is a member of staff who has successfully completed qualifications in First Aid, Advanced First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation, Assessment and Management of Asthma, Assessment and Management of Anaphylaxis and Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response.
