Supported Events

 

Northwest Victorian Motorcycle Club

VMAT was approached by the club initially looking for a Doctor to attend their “Enduro” style events. The club found that holding the events in remote locations meant that they needed to have someone with extensive medical training who could provide immediate care bwhen required. VMAT worked closely with the club and packaged together an entire event season coverage. This led to VMAT providing Event Health Services to all of the clubs Motocross, Enduro and Dirt Track events.

As part of this solution, VMAT was also tasked as the lead health agency to put together a strategy, or what we like to call a 'Medical Intervention Plan', for the 2015 Penrite Hattah Desert Race. This event is not only complex in nature by the shear number of participants and venue size, but also it’s location to the nearest Emergency Department. This meant VMAT was required to oversee and work together with numerous other organisations including the Mildura Base Hospital - Emergency Department and Ambulance Victoria, to achieve the most appropriate patient focused outcome.

 

VMAT was again appointed as the lead healthy agency for the 2016 Penrite Hattah Desert Race and below is a short summary of what was provided.
